Santarcangelo attracts and fascinates many visitors every year who fall in love with this town on their first visit.
Culinary tip: a good piadina and a glass of Sangiovese, the wine of this area that takes its name from Monte Giove where Santarcangelo di Romagna is located.

According to legend, the ghost of Azzurrina, the daughter of the lord of Montebello, who disappeared in mysterious circumstances while playing ball, haunts the majestic castle. For the more intrepid, guided tours are organised during the summer, also at night, to explore all the most suggestive corners of the fortress.
Beyond this tale, the castle is definitely worth a visit because of its perfectly preserved medieval and Renaissance parts.
